Pedorthist
A pedorthist is a professionally trained person in the
manufacture of orthopaedic footwear, foot function, and the manufuacture and analysis of orthosis requirements and must
continue to undertake training and professional development in order to maintain certification. A Pedorthist would refer you to a podiatrist, orthopaedic surgeon, general practioner, or relative health professional should a condition/symptom require it.
Orthopaedic
At some stage in our lives we may need the assistance of an orthopaedic shoe, usually to assist with conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, lymphadaemia, scleraderma, odema, amputations, charcot feet, post operative conditions, or even just for extra width or extra depth. Whatever the condition, we can assist you or your clients or loved ones, with private health funds often able to re-imberse some or all of the costs, conditions apply, just ask us or your health fund for more information.
If you have any particular condition, it can be useful to obtain a referral from your health professional and bring any x-rays or information you may have with you when you meet with us. |
